Foursquare, Google Latitude and Check-ins are all introducing new features that you should be aware of.

Foursquare is now allowing users to check in at businesses instead of just venues. This means that you can now share your location with friends and family while you're out shopping or dining.

Google Latitude is adding the ability to check in from your desktop. This feature will allow you to quickly and easily add locations to your profile without having to use your phone.

Check-ins on Foursquare and Google Latitude are now synced with each other. This means that if you check in on one platform, it will automatically appear on the other.
