Understanding the Government of Ireland

Executive Branch
The executive branch is headed by the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) and is responsible for implementing laws and policies. The Irish government consists of the Cabinet, which is composed of Ministers and Secretaries.
Legislative Branch
The Oireachtas (Parliament) consists of two houses: Dáil Éireann (House of Representatives) and Seanad Éireann (Senate). It is responsible for making laws, reviewing proposals, and debating pertinent issues.
Judicial Branch
The judicial system interprets laws and ensures justice. It includes the Supreme Court, High Court, and Circuit Courts, protecting citizen rights and ensuring legal compliance.
